Aquila Fabrication & Equipment

Overview

Aquila Fabrication & Equipment approached Edge to develop a logo for their new business. In addition to designing and developing a logo we have completed a number of other projects including business cards, presentation folder and a website.

Logo Development

Aquila Fabrication & Equipment is focused on providing manufacturing and fabrication solutions to the upstream oil and gas industry - both domestic and internationally. The company was looking for a strong, simple logo that would include an eagle and have a tie-in to manufacturing.

Through our design and development process we came up with a number of options and worked closely with the client to produce the final product displayed to the right. The logo was provided in multiple formats including two colour, inverted, black and white and white on black for use in multiple applications.

Print Package

In addition to the development of a corporate identity for Aquila, Edge also designed and developed business cards and a presentation folder. The business cards were two sided, full colour, with the website simply positioned on the back and the contact details on the front.

As for the presentation folder, we kept it really clean and professional with a simple image on black on the inside with a nice bold orange flap for the business card insert. The front and back of the folder were also kept very clean with just the contact details and the logo boldly presented in its inverted format. The continued use of the colour scheme of black and orange was adopted throughout.

Website Development

The website design and development process started with a planning session to assess competitors websites and develop a framework for the various pages that were required. In the initial design phase we offered a number of layout options and the design chosen by the client is the one you see to the right. It ties in with the look and feel of their other marketing materials and once again uses the same corporate colour scheme created during the design of the logo.

Other features of the site include a current inventory section where the client can log in and post current equipment that it has for sale, a quote request form and a careers section where potential employees can apply online for current positions that are available. In addition we installed Google Analytics for visitor tracking and optimized each page of the site for better search engine placement.
